The mission of the competition is to discover and encourage talented painters, to re-evaluate and present Armenian fine arts in a new way, to promote the development and popularization of contemporary art.
It aims to create strong bridges for the development of art - forming a professional environment of cooperation, integration and art management, contributing to the establishment and progress of educational programs and professional schools in the field.
A competition that bears the name of one of the great masters of Armenian fine arts -Martiros Sarian.
Sarian’s art embodies the philosophy of Armenian color - with its sun-filled warmth, the life-breath of nature, and the simple yet emphasized resonance of form. His unites national roots and global modern artistic movements - transforming the light of the Armenian highlands and the rich Eastern color palette into a universal language.
Sarian’s painting is not only the continuation of centuries-old cultural heritage, but also the starting point of new times - with the bold harmony of tradition and innovation, where color becomes independent thought, and the canvas becomes a spiritual space.
